Parking brake sticking in '90 convertible?
So....after the winter my girl is starting to get out and see the sights again. But I'm having a bit of an odd issue.
When I go to release the parking brake after taking the top down, I'm not sure if it's releasing or not. The parking light stays on, and it's taking 5 or more attempts at variously engaging and disengaging the hand brake for it to indicate it's indeed off.
Is this a light problem - and if so, how on earth will I tell if it's engaged or not?! - or a cable/brake issue? Thoughts?
Many thanks!

Under the black plastic cover covering the handbrake lever fulcrum is a microswitch that does the warning light. remove the cover and adjust the switch's position so it goes off when the HB is released.
