Anybody experience this cause if you've had it you'll know.
Take care.

Another thing to check is the differential output shafts where the axles meet the diff. Any oil leaks from the side of the diff usually indicate failure of the output shaft bearings, which is very common on Jaguars since the rear axle serves as the upper suspension control arm, which puts the diff output bearings under more stress than on most vehicles.

appreciate this info. Very much.
Will check and update accordingly.
Had on lift and didn't locate any obvious issue that'd do this but will look again with your suggestion. It's a hider that's for sure.
No growling on rack.
Wheels are all good.Small power steering pump leakage.but all dry otherwise...surprisingly.
Take care.
Thanks again.

At rear of trans when rocking driveshaft(wheels also) just a small click but again no excess slop anywhere .
I'll figure it out if I have to wait for it to explode
great forum.
will advise on locating and repair solution
Try using a mechanics stethoscope and with the rear wheels rotating, listen to the hubs for wheel bearing noise or the differential for output shaft bearings. My car was noisy as heck while driving but the source wasn't obvious when on the lift with the wheels rotating. The stethoscope quickly pinpointed the source: a wheel bearing. And because I was already part way there, also did the output shaft bearings at the same time.
