HELP request - anyone in S/E UK able and willing to pop by and help?
You have all seen the trials and tribulations when I do DIY on my baby Jag - one thing fixed and another fault occuring or created :-)
I am looking at possibly changing the starter motor and rear spark plugs on her, and was wondering if anyone might be knowledgable on X-Types and might also be free to give me a hand in exchange for all the tea/coffee etc etc you can handle.. I would really appreciate it.. I *have* tried to get to the rear plugs but with several pipes off, bolts out and connectors off I was already exiting my comfort zone, and I still couldn't get to them.. and now I am looking at a starter motor as well - sigh..
My thread regarding the starter motor is here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...please-139918/
Many many thanks for any offers of help :-) I am quite happy doing the work, but would appreciate someone on hand who knows what it is I am doing lol - and I am sure once I have done these jobs once I will be confident to do them next time but there is more to these jobs than brake pads, oil changes etc and I would very much appreciate being pointed in right direction as I go so as not to break/damage anything else as I go first time around.

Hi all,
Steve the legend that puts sooo much time and effort into helping all others in the UK section, by arranging meet events, goodie bags, free prizes, Jaguar convoy runs and much much more.....needs a little help.
Anything any one of us can do to assist?
I'd love to help Steve but at around 400 miles away and about as much of a mechanic as you, I'd probably be as much use as a chocolate teapot...lol
Best
Jim
