Hey guys, is there any type of Jaguar car gathering in the central MD aera? Or any car show that usually have Jaguars? I would love to meet and talk to other Jaguar enthusiast. Thanks

Trevor, later this summer I am wanting to get a GTG going on for all the members in the DC/MD/VA area and any others that may want to come. Odds are it would be up in the Manassass, VA area or somewhere close to that. It would be fairly central to most of the people. So, keep your eyes open for something like that. If you want, I am going to be up in DC on Monday (5/30) morning doing a walk about of Arlington National Cemetery. So, if you want to meet up, let me know.

Ok guys, lets start tossing around some days. Right off the top of my head, I am thinking something along the lines of say Foster's Grille in Alexandria, VA on July 16th at 1 pm. That will be fairly central to most people for those in the area. They have some good burgers and I'm sure they would be just heart broken to have a bunch of Jags be parked in their parking lot. If this sounds of interest, let me know. I will give them a call and let them know that we are coming. My truck club used to do this with the one down in Fredericksburg and they gave us a 10% discount (granted, one of the guys knew the owner, so, take that for what it is worth).

If you are interested, let me know. The more people we get interested in this, the more fun it becomes.

I'm definitely down for a Jag meet! I hope we can organize something in the DC/VA/MD area.

I'm really not familiar with the N.Va area, but am willing to help with whatever.. Have informed the husband that I will be going to this meet if/when it happens.

What would be the possibility of having it in another location that isn't as crowded as Alexandria, such as Warrenton VA?

Kitty, if you came up for the weekend to Leonardtown, then you would be about another hour away. Granted, we could hook up and drive in together. To give you an idea of where we are talking, you would be heading north on MD-5, then getting on the I-495 loop heading south like you were going back to I-95, but then you would be getting off a few exits later in Alexandria. Or, if you weren't coming up to MD, then you would simply come up I-95, follow I-95 towards Baltimore and then you would be getting off of I-495 about 10 miles up the road.

Max, most of the people that have expressed an interest in something like this live just off of the I-95 corridor. Part of the reason for picking where I did. Also, I was looking for something that would be easy to find and fairly central to everyone. The place in Alexandria seemed to fix all those things. Later on this summer should be the Concours d'Elegance again up in Fairfax, VA which is not quite as bad as Alexandria for you. I want to go and do that again. If I was to pick another place, I would probably be looking about an hour south of there in say Fredericksburg, VA. At the same time, I want to get a few different things going this summer so that it gives people a chance to get to one of them to meet up with people and also to help spread the distance people have to drive to get to a GTG.

Vette, check out: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/o...ogether-56124/ This has all the information for you and a sign up list. We are going to meet at Foster's Grille there in Arlington (right off of I-95) at 1pm on Saturday. Looking like there is going to be about 10 of us at the moment. Maybe more will come once it gets a little closer. But there isn't much more time.
