Default Need Good XJ8 Tech or Skilled DIYer in CT

Looking for a local Tech or Skilled Do It Your Selfer to do Electrical troubleshooting on our 2001 XJ8. Also on our 1990 Acura Legend. I live in Cheshire CT. We have a part time auto mechanic who is not always available.

The XJ8 has an on again/off again ABS displayed alert and ABS shuts down.

I like to get some of the items that are not working properly on the Acura fixed as soon as possible. The a/c sometimes works perfectly and other times not at all. Aslo there is an ABS problem. Whenever you start the engine you hear a noise like an operating air pump. The 3rd item that needs to be looked at is the original factory installed Bose/Alpine auto system.

My email is jimlombardi@***.net

Hi Brill
What is their Labor rate per hour? How busy are they and do they get the work done in timely fashion? How many times and how long have you used them for maintenance and repair work?
I have tried to talk to them a few times in the past year. They seem to be too busy to talk on the phone with a new propective customer. That type of customer relations kinda turned me off about going there.
Please advise. Your advice is appreciated.

Hi Jim,
I have purchased parts from them and have always been treated well. I am VP of the Jaguar Club of Southern New England and know of many people who have used them and have had great experiences.
My initial dealings with them were before being part of any local club and they were never short with me on the phone, although I know them to be rather busy. Aside from repair work they also do full on restoration work.
Call and deal directly with Pete. Being in Cheshire, you could simply swing by too and really not be out of your way.
I am unaware of their hourly rates.
I do 90% of my own work so I haven't used them for any repair work.
If you run into issues for some reason or simply don't want to try them again, a good friend of mine runs a place in Meriden called Morphius Performance. His name is Justin and his number is 203-641-8859. He doesn't specialize in Jags but is just plain good overall.
Talk soon,
