Default Feb meet and drive?

So very spontaneous i know, but Marko and I are heading out onto the Olympic Peninsula Saturday (1 March) just to get some of the garage dust off the cars and beat the coming storms...
All are welcome to join in. Coffee in Gig Harbor at 8:30, or 9:30(ish) at the west end of the hood canal bridge...
Will wing it, but probably go as far as Pt Angeles and Crescent Lake area before turning around....

Drivers welcome!
Vince

29th of February??? Do you mean two years from now? Or maybe tomorrow (March 1st)? If 2016 I'm in, if tomorrow I can't make it, but I wish I could.

Well.... Have to say that the day was a pretty darn good one, and hope Marko would call it a win as well!
We set out early from Gig Harbor, making good time to Sequim, where we detoured to the Dungeness Spit for a cliff-side view of Canada.
Sunglasses were in quick order as we continued on Pt. Angeles for lunch, then on to do battle with the waterfront twisties of beautiful Lake Crescent.
Side trips into Elwha Valley and Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center gave Marko a brief preview of some of the amazing scenery that awaits a summer drive!

Looks very similar to the English Lake District but without the traffic.

No trace of any 'garage dust' left on either of them!

<chuckles> I'm in the midst of a room renovation. I did take the time to force the kids to go with me to LeMays though. Friday was an amazingly beautiful day. It let me take the Rolls from one shop to another. /cough

Was an awesome drive! The curvy roads around the lake were amazing, really getting to enjoy my mid-engine. You missed out guys! :-)

Superb, sounds like fun.

I guess it was a more involved drive with just the two of you, and kinda fun I'll bet too??

Sometimes the larger gatherings can be much better but harder to have a convoy type drive.

Have to say though it would look really cool to see maybe a dozen Jags, one in after the other heading up into those twisties...........a sight to behold I'm sure.

In truth, Marko seems to be like minded in driving preferences, so a day of spirited driving is indeed a pleasure once and a while. Brings a big smile to my face to pick a good line through non-stop twisties at speed. Marko and his quick little Porsche sat back 40 or 50 feet, probably wishing I would get out of his way on a few of them... Ah well... (I run point, and tell them they just like me for my radar detector! )

A larger group is just as fun, but it is far more calm and relaxed.
