I would just change the oil and filter. I would not flush the transmission. If you want to make sure you get a high percentage of the old oil out change it again in a few hundred miles. After I would do a A drum repair I would change the oil twice in the next 1000 miles to get out as much of the fine metal particles left after the A drum failure.
Speaking of the A drum I believe more importantly you change out the pressure regulator in the transmission to the updated Transgo regulator. It is possible that spikes in pressure due to faulty regulator might contribute to the A drum failure. Linked is a post I did on the repair.

Also make sure you have the updated timing tensioners.
