I started the car, just as usual the other day and it ran fine, Then I went to start it another day and it came on, the fuel primed and it clicked and the computers spazed out and looked to reset. now I have these lights (below) and found this cable (below) and the starter doesn't click but the fuel pump works, Please help asap!!

I've moved your post from the General Tech section to the X-Type section where it will get greater visibility and techs/members familiar with this model can provide better support

regards,
steve

Sounds like you have a weak battery. FIRST charge the battery, see what happens. If you have volt meter check the voltage (DC-Volts/set on over 15V). Your reading should be 12.5 13.0 volts not running. Anything lower than 12V all hell breaks loose. If you don't have one put a set of jumpers on and let them just charge a while, try to start it if it starts AND you have a meter it should read 13.5.to 15V if everything in the charging system is ok. MAKE SURE YOUR CONNECTIONS ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT or none of this matters, remember NO juice OUT no juice IN AND A DEAD BATTERY. NO meter: have it tested. POSSIBILITIES ARE-- #1 bad battery#2 bad connections. #3 bad ground to negative ( on engine or body). #4 bad alternator(if you don't have 13.5 to 14V when running). If it still doesn't spin over or make a clicking sound OR just makes click click click it could be the solenoid on the starter or the brushes in the starter BUT if the computers spazed out it's probably not the starter, low voltage drives these cars to do crazy things,( simple first)! Just remember if you have bad battery connections it won't charge or transfer current from the other source.

If you do try jump starting (should be last resort only!) don't allow the donor car engine to run while connected to your X Type. There are those who have lost their instrument panels doing this and that's not a straightforward fix!

UPDATE: Thank you for the advice, The battery was charged out side the car and is good, The solenoid and starter were tested and work AND I stripped the small ground wire and put a new metal cap connector thing on it so those are good. I plan on checking the other wires tomorrow.
