02 xtype 2.5 shakes and shuts off on cold start
Has anyone had this problem before? It recently started once the temperature dropped, so far I've changed the air filter, fuel filter, pcv hose, brake booster hose and imt o rings. Codes are P0171 and P0174 along with CEL and cruise not available.

Mine does that literally every time we have cold weather in AL. I let the car warm up 1-3 minutes and throttle it a little. Honestly as all cars need oil circulated before gunning it but I do believe it is more into it than that.
I have codes I'll try to post but I have a laundry list of codes mine gives off.

you cant overtigten the orings matter of fact you dont even need the bolts, the imts wont fall out. its the orings that seal the imts not bolts.dont check the upper and lower intake gaskets, REPLACE them. past that if it does it..when cold before you start it, take the brake booster line offteh brake booster and plug it so you dont have vacuum leak from thebooster pipe you undid. now start it, if the problem is gone, the brake booster diaphram is leaking and yes you guessed it, you need a booster... but the upper and lower intake gasket are your liky culprit

Its a good chance they intake orings are bad.upper and lower.I have a 2002 3.0 litre s type. When the temperature drop, the car would have rough idle and the brake pedal seem to be hard to push and apply brakes. I replaced upper and lower intake orings,IMT orings and checked elbow vacuum hose under intake and the one on the back. Now my car runs perfect.
