Default '03 P0174 When Cold

Lately it has been near or below freezing and I've been getting a lot of P0174 codes. I've looked and don't see anything - is there something that could be shrinking in the cold or any ideas?

Thanks!
Pat

Thanks - I have looked at this and nothing seems to be wrong - the engine breather hose is in good shape and has the ribs, the brake booster is older but seems solid still, and the tuning valve seals are green...
I was just curious about the fact that it is throwing this in cold weather... in case there was some suggestions to check anything else...

Thanks!

If you are sure you don't get the code when the weather is warmer, I would look at the upper and lower intake manifold seals. You are probably looking for a rubber seal that is shrinking and leaking when cold.
There is an o-ring seal in the brake booster line at the intake manifold that can get hard and shrink
I would advise you to get the short and long term fuel trims recorded. Once we see how bad the leak is we might be able to pin point a better diagnosis.

You could also check the accoridan hose between teh MAF and the throttle body to make sure it doesn't have a small crack or that iot is tight.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm wondering about the accordian hose as it looks like the prior owner uses zipties to secure it... hmm...

Here's the code info after driving it around for about 20 minutes (I thought that was best - if you need cold readings let me know)

P0174 codes 1/2

P0174 codes 2/2

Uhhhhhhhh.......zip ties? I think that would be a logical place to start.

Even a tiny leak would need fixing. Zip ties suggest a major leak
