How does it work?
It will modify any standard ECU by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition to compensate producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too. Power is increased by up to 15BHP and torque is increased significantly.
It will be more responsive and you WILL LIKE IT.


What difference can you expect?
Increased acceleration at low end revs
Higher top end speed
Faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile times
Quicker throttle response
Smooth out flat-spots
Can increase MPG

 

It tricks into making your ECU think that the A/C system is on causing the ECU to make the engine run a bit richer. That's it. I wouldn't waste my money nor time on crap like that. Also the Myth busters did a test on all these so called engine hp/gas savers and non of them work.

Remember, if it's cheap, it's gonna hurt your engine more than it hurts you.

You want REAL 15-35HP gains??! Go to Arden.com and buy their ECU upgrade. That is the only way you will get that hp. (i did and love it)

I guess anything that tricks your engine into thinkin somethin else could be hurtful. And it was so cheap, thats what was throwin me for a loop. I figured boostin your engine would cost at least $100.

Add another 1500 to that 100 of yours and you have yourself the real "engine boost" product. Arden is the only company that i know who makes anything performace for the X type and it's not cheap. 1600 bucks will only get you 35hp tops. 700 will get you nitrous and 75hp+ (but that's pushing it on the transmission and all wheel drive system)
