I was quoted around $1,800 to repair/replace my AC Compressor which apparentlly has a bad seal and is leaking. What's with the 1800 dollar price?
They must have seen me coming!

I only have 33,500 miles on the car since Jan '02 (mostly drive around town). Has anyone had a similar problem, how common is this? I only use the air conditioner about 1/2 of 1 percent of the time so what might have caused this situation on my 2.5 X-Type 2002 1st year model.
