2002 x-type auto gearbox clicking, microswitch?
So I've had a search through the forums, and I believe my 2002 x-type auto has a problem with a microswitch (basically the gearbox makes a clicking noise every time I use the brake).
Can anyone help with which kind of microswitch I need to buy as a replacement, and is there a step by step guide (I did look but couldn't find one)
Many thanks

The Not-in-Park microswitch is self evident when the lid is lifted. It's at the front and it's obvious how it is operated by the selector being put in Park. It just lifts out and the connectors are soldered to the contacts. But check if it is the switch or a broken connection or whatever. microswitches in themselves are pretty reliable things usually!
