hey guys,
i have a 2004 jaguar. seems to have the same problem every one is having.
it cranks but no start.
i checked gas and its good i have checked the fuse f92 i keep reading about, except on the 2004 it will be f10 on the engine fuse box as its states coil ignition. checked all the fused and it seems to be good.
yesterday i pulled the coil and there was no spark.
i am going to check the crankshaft position sensor today and see if that gets the problem fixed.
does any one have the wiring diagram to the coils and information on how to check the crankshaft position sensor?

your help is much appreciated.

The PCM has to activate the coils and won't if:
1. it thinks bad key (PATS not happy)
2. no crank signal

I'm not sure checking the coils will help unless both those are good.

 

Hopefully, you have also checked the inertia switch just in case it's been tripped.
