Default 2005 Jaguar X-TYPE ECU broken

Hello all, I bought a 05 Jaguar X-type used, next day check engine light came on, turns out the ECU is fried. I've searched the internet and have been unable to find the exact ECU with matching numbers aside from one in the UK(which I may end up buying). I'm in the US. was wondering if any of you knew how specific these have to be for the vehicle. I have a 2.5L Manual. Was wondering would an 04 2.5L manual work? How about an 05 3.0 L manual? My vin ends in E27774 and the number on my ECU is 4x43-10k975-CB. Thanks in advance.

Realistically it probably isn't fried. What makes you think it is?

Just want to update you all in case anybody has this problem in the future, so turns out there was an issue with a ground wire and this led to my ECU malfunctioning. We fixed the ground but the ECU itself was still throwing codes(even though the car drove just fine), I found a used ECU through a used parts dealer, it was exact numbers matched, and I had a british automotive shop install it, they had the same computers/software as the dealer so was pretty straightforward, the ECU cost 200, install was 340, but now the codes cleared and I passed inspection, so that's that.
