Default 2005 X Type Jag - Have I got three issues, or one?

I am a new owner of an old Jag...
In the last 3 months of ownership I have discovered:
1. Soaking wet carpets on front passenger side
2. Squeaky clutch pedal
3. Orange viscous fluid leaking on to the drive when parked

The coolant is orange...but friends have had it up on ramps and can see no leak. And overnight on cardboard under the engine in the morning is just a tiny speck, but by mid morning, a pool of orange liquid)

Any advice very gratefully received....

Must say, I do love my Jag, but am beginning to think perhaps I bought a "wrong un" - The boot (window) wont open, and just last month the front driver tyre shredded, and now one passenger front bush is being replaced as we speak...phew...

Without additional details I have to make some assumptions. I assume from your location that the car is Right Hand Drive. If so and you are getting water on the passenger carpets one of the drains for the A/C system has come lose. There are drains on the left and right side of the center console that drain the water from the condenser to the outside of the car. They exit the floorboard just over the transmission.
If the car is Left hand drive then the water is coming in from the fresh air vent beneath the cowling in front of the windscreen. You have to remove the wipers and the cowling and you will see the separation from the body where water comes.
Lastly the orange coolant is a cooling system leak. The best way to locate the leak is to have a Pressure Test conducted of the system. Fix whatever leaks show up and test again until the system is tight.

lostinfrance, I can explain 2 of the 3, but not all 3 with a single fault. The oddball in this is the clutch pedal. I htink you simply need to get some spray lubricant and lube the joints of the clutch pedal and that will solve the squeak that you are worried about.

As for the wet floors and orange fluid on the garage floor, it is possible that you have a heater core leak and that is causing the coolant to leak out the heater core and out on to the floor from the drain on the firewall. This could also lead to the coolant coming out of the blower in the passenger footwell area. Granted, I would think that you would have complained about a "sweet smell" coming from the dash and also a slowly lowering overflow bottle level.

Otherwise, you are looking at 3 distinct problems. Now, the water on the floor can most likely be caused by a clogged drain line. You can fix this easily by either dropping the blower motor and then getting some disinfectant (Lysol?) into the catch tray in the center of the dash. This will eat up the gum that has formed in the drain line and clear things up. The other way to get the disinfectant into the center portion of the dash is to remove the cowl from in front of the windshield and then remove the filter. You will then start up the car, putting the blower on fast and then spraying the disinfectant into the intake of the interior heat system. If you do it this way, you are going to want the windows rolled down and everyone out of the car. The disinfectant is going to go through the dash and will need to vent out the windows.

As for the orange leak, more details about where it is hitting the ground is going to be needed. If you look at the top of the tranny, you may see the coolant puddling there. If so, you have a bad water pump. If you see the puddle just behind the left side front tire, then you have a cracked overflow tank. If the leak is up near the front of the car (just behind the bumper), then you have either a leaking radiator or one of the radiator hoses has a small pinhole in it.
