Default ABS Rear Sensor Connection Point

Hello,

My ABS light is on. I've read that you cna test the sensor with a flute meter. I was able to check the fornt sensor with no problems. However, the rear sensors are giving me an issue. The plug in portion of the sensor goes into the frame rail. I have no way of removing these sensor so I can check them.

The rear rings are intack. Everything else seems to be a ok.

I have a 2003 X-Type AWD with a 2.5.

Any suggestions?

Jeeves, you can't remove the sensor from the spindle and test it locally? You can test it driving down the road, but that is a bit more difficult from my point of view. All you need to do is to connect a multimeter across the two pins of the sensor and then pass a large screw driver near the end of the sensor once it is removed.

Thermo, thanks for responding. However, I cannot remove the plug-in portion of the rear sensors. I can unbolt the sensor from the hub, however the connection (plu-in) is located within the frame.

How do I remove the plug, if it is in the frame?

I found the plug in point. These are located under the rear seat. You need to pull them out from the outer front corners of seat mounting frame.
