I have a 2004 X-Type Jag and live in South Florida.

The AC blows warm at idle and then gets cold at around 1500 rpms. If I cruise at this 1500 or above the car is comfortable.

Yet when I slow down the air temperature gets quite warm. This seems abnormal to me and I am looking for some advice............specifically anyone who has experienced the same thing and solved it.

I've had the freon taken out and replaced.

I think that is what the TSB (i.e., JTB00183 I think...), mentioned a couple of times, refers to?

There were some compressor delivery valve issues, relatively easy fix if you have access to an A/C machine. A few had orifice tube issues also. I'd start by checking the charge weight, high & low side pressures.

Okay Thanks much. Found the TSB and read it. Talks about degradation of control valve operation preventing the system from delivering full functional potential.

TSB shows modification for replacing the compressor valve spring.

Sounds like a logical direction to go in to me...............

You don't actually replace anything, just reverse valve and spring locations.

old post, I know but did this TSB resolve the issue? I have an 03 ST-R that has exactly the same problem at idle, my high speed fan wont come on though either
