Hi everyone im back! ok so my 04 x-type keeps popping the 10amp fuse insid the car. When the fuse blows both airbag lights(driver and passenger side)come on and dont go away until the fuse is replaced. The problem is when i replace the fuse it only lasts about 5 minutes before it blows again! Any ideas as to what might be going on? I dont especially care for driving around without my airbags! thanks, Val

 

Ok went out and changed the fuse , then started thecar from outside . airbag lights came on and cancelled as they should so i shut the car off removed the keys then put them back in the ignition and started the car again. the airbag lights stayed on. any further advice and thanks for the previous answer!

 

only thing done electrical to car was i had my front passenger headlamp changed.....

 

thanks racer, ill check that... i did notice they had a hard time with the headlamp and putting it back together.... i'll check it and pray....

 

Thanks again Brutal my husband just went outside and noticed a ford part that says delphi on it hanging under passenger seat it looks like it was attached to the bottom of the seat bbut the tabs are broke off. could this be anything to do with it ? He will try unbolting the seat tomorow with better light, and must he undo all 4 bolts or just one inparticular? thanx again

 

As far as the impact sensors are concerned im not sure where they are i did notice a plug inbetween the 2 headlights all wires are good to the plug and it doesnt seem to be damaged

 

whats your take on the delphi box under the passenger seat?

 

i dont get it either ut there is a small box hanging under the pass.seat its clearly marked ford delphi. Parts search leads to automatic cruise control and early crash warning sensor. I dont know what the hell that is.
