Yea, well this guy obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. I guess he must have driven my X-Type because he knows exactly how fast it is an what's it's capable of doing. He's basing everything he's mentioned off of 0-60 times he's read on the internet which don't mean anything because they are exaggerated.

He's just a whiny, ignorant**** that is upset because a tree fell on his main ride. I didn't provoke him to come here and make condescending comments, he did that on his own free will because life dealt him some bad cards.

And apparently, guys are way better and pressing a pedal to the floor then a girl (I had no idea)!

 

According to BMW's website, which tends to be over-exaggerated.......

Acceleration 0-60 mph – STEPTRONIC automatic Transmission2 - 5.5 sec
Acceleration 0-60 mph – Sport Automatic transmission2 - TBD sec

My X-Type will do 0-60 in an average of 5.9 seconds. I've had flawless runs at 5.7 so you would be downright foolish to say that the 550i auto would......

"destroy you, backwards, on 4 cylinders. I mean complete and total embarrassment to the point they would tow you home"

Up to 60mph that car isn't going anywhere if it's next to me and I'm only pushing a V6 3.0 (versus a 4.8 V8)! That's impressive performance from a car way out of it's class.
