they will take the tire back as long as it is less that 2/32s of wear on the tread, which they explaned to me is 4000 to 5000 miles (or 1 year, whichever is first) , and i have put about 2000 "gentle" miles on the car since i got em.
To the fender rolling...I used the heat gun, and took HORRIBLE pics, ill post em probably monday since im going away with military this weekend. I only managed to roll the fronts (which actually rubbed to most) it took me about an hour to develop a proper technique, but once i got the hang of it i folded them in pretty quick. I need to trim about 2" from the bumper, and im done. but yea, it was a success, no cracks in my paint at all. The back fenders were a different story. I couldnt get them to bend as there is a second layer of steel behind them inside the wheel well, i think i will have to leave those to the professionals.

I didnt think it would be so hard to find someone to roll fenders in the damn city, i tried at least 15 body shops and custom car shops, and 5 never heard of fender rolling, the rest refused (or offered to sell me wheels w/ a different offset b/c that would be cheaper to buy new wheels then roll them..yea right) so yea, until i can find a shop to do the backs, i have a 3 seater. Pics on monday.

I am excited for you. Show some pics of the wheels sufferage so we can see what you are talking about with the damage.

Hope it all goes well tonight!

Ok gents, crappy pics, successful fender rolling.
I wedged a hammer on the tire, and put the bat on top, forcing the fenders up at an angle This is a recreation, i wrapped the bat in a tshirt in the actual work. I used a heat gun for about 40-50 seconds per 6 inch section.

here is after. The pic really doesnt show all that well how much i folded the lip back, but its went from flat to about 80degrees up, the plastic wheel well was also pushed up and hopefully out of the way completely. In the pic, it looks like a scratch, but its just the flash from the camera, I actually made no scratches at all, and no cracks in the outer quarter panel.

The only thing left to do in front is trim about 1/2 an inch from the bumper...the white part in the last pic b/c that little tip is what actually causes the most damage to my tire (rips in the sidewall) Im putting the 18s back on tonight after work. sorry abot the crappy pics

Thats cool kind of sucks they make you do all of that work though...prices are good though...you should try talking your local belle tire or what not on their prices and than it'd be worth it to go to the local shop!
