Honestly i would say go buy a double din deck and take it to a place liek futureshop or best buy. There prices are reasonable and they usually have everything you need in stock. Also keep in mind when purchasing a deck you want one which will be compatible with your steering wheel controls. May I suggest the pioneer z2 or pioneer z3 deck? I bought the z2 with the z3 upgrade off ebay a month ago just waiting to find some time to install it. I have seen it in friends cars and its pretty impressive. Does anyone know where i can buy the dash kit in canada for under $50? Well if not in canada, then any where else for under $50. Only places i found online wanted payment in pounds and the conversion isnt too good right now.

Jnew, where do you live. I am in Southern Maryland and do car stereo stuff on the side. Wiring up the stereo shouldn't be an issue. It should be straight forward and will be much easier than some of the other projects I have done. Let me know if you need help. Like was mentioned, an install kit, wiring harness, and an antenna adapter will get you most of the way. I will even show you a few things for future projects too.

Kris, unfortunately, no trips are planned for that area. I might be heading to Atlanta, but I think the wife might get a bit pissed if I made a detour like that. I think you might like what I have planned for my car though when it comes to the stereo. I have a Kicker KX 700.5 sitting in my house right now waiting to be installed. Going to hook it up to the factory stereo so I can keep all the Navi stuff and A/C controls yet get more sound and quality out of the speakers. Also installing separates up front and in the rear along with dual 12's in the trunk. Should be interesting when I am done. I'm doing a bit of playing at the moment with ideas. I will make sure to take a bunch of pictures as I do the install. The only major question remaining is finding out what style of alternator our Jags have so I can upgrade the alternator to handle the 70 amp draw the stereo system is going to be pulling. I'm thinking about installing a 200 amp unit to cover the bases. He he he he he he he.
