Powertrain and Check engine light is on
Hey everyone yesterday while driving my powertrain light came on and then my check engine light as while. this all happen when i was taking my car out of cruise control. and now my cruise control nor my sport mode will work in my car. the car takes a while to accelerate while driving.
so i went to autozone and they gave me a code:
P1643
P1111
i just had my car tuned up for its 80,000 2weeks ago.
is there something that i can do myself besides taking it back to the dealership

P1111 just means that the car has finished running its checks when you turn on the ignition
P1643 is a CAN ECM/TCM network malfunction on at least 2 consecutive trips and is caused by anyone of these faults which means its either a short circuit,the transmission control module or the engine control module:-

- CAN open circuit fault – TCM to ECM
- CAN short circuit fault
- TCM failure
- ECM failure
- – Speed control inhibited
- – Maximum throttle opening for N range inhibited
- – Throttle opening limited to 30%
- – Maximum engine speed reduced
