car started nuts this morning
i get in my car after work start it up and for the first 3 seconds it started fine but then it started misfiring almost stalled then revved up 1800 rpm for five seconds then went to normal idle but shook a bit. it drives fine when its warm its just on the cold starts. today it did it too not as bad as that one night but still misfiring. 9 codes came on po300 po301 po302 po303 po304 po305 po306 po1316 po1000..i had a problem like this before with a vac leak from the booster to the manifold but that was replaced. tell me its not a head problem

Sexy, since you are not getting misfires on just one head, odds are it is not. It would seem to me that you have a problem most likely with your MAF sensor (water collecting on the sensor) or the throttlebody sticking. The other thing that I would tell you to try is to turn the ignition key to the RUN position (do not start the engine), wait 5 seconds, and then attempt to start the car and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then you are looking at a fuel pump issue.

Hey thermo i still have this problem. fuel pump is fine, throttle body was cleaned very well, and i believe if the maf wasnt working right that code would come on but it doesnt. The only thing i noticed is i cant push the brake pedal down all the way when its doing this. its very hard and i can feel pressure..any ideas?

Anytime there are problems starting / idling I always, always think vacuum leak. If your vacuum boost hose is broke the peddle will be hard to push down… here's a pretty cool trick on finding vacuum leaks,
