Default CD changer

I just bought a 2005 X-Type. It does not have a CD changer. I'd like to install one from an XK8. Has anyone done this ? I'd like to get some input on whether the wiring is there before I take out any trim panels.

The wiring and fibre optics should be there in your X type, but the XK8 does not use a fibre optic system so sorry, but I don't think your XK8 CD changer is going to be much use to you in your X type.

I've researched this path and since I don't listen to music very often I don't think it is worth the time to pursue this course of action. Thanks to the forum for all the historic data.
