Not sure if it's correct, but a quick google search showed P1647 as possibly your o2 sensor.

Thanks. I am looking in Google as well. The strange thing is that my mechanic said it was originally the o2 sensor before (2 weeks) ago but now that is gone? I am confused.

p1647 is your bank 2 upstream O2 sensor bad. Most likely the sensor itself. Unlikely, but possibly wiring. Chris "Thermo" Coleman

P1000, system test not complete since last memory clear, nothing to fix. Chris "Thermo" Coleman

Hello Thermo, thanks for the help. I believe this bank 2 upstream O2 sensor is my next step.

Any idea how much this part and labor should cost me roughly? is this an easy job?

thanks in advance!

in another post JagGenius mentioned that bank 2 is the easiest to replace. is this the same one?

do you guys recommend buying original jaguar sensor or buy aftermarket?

thanks!

Hanky, the part (Bosch OE type) part is $84 at Schucks/Advance/Kragens. To replace, probably looking at 2 hours at most. Requires a special socket wrench.

Thermo, thanks again you have been very helpful. I called the local Jag dealer and they quoted me $122 for the upstream sensor.

you mentioned $84 at Schucks/Advance/Kragens is that an OEM part? I never heard of that parts dealer? I live in the East Coast US. Can I buy an equivalent at Pepboys or AutoZone? or buy OEM at Jaguar? thanks again!

Hanky, that was for a Bosch part which is the OE part, just not with the Jag name on it. Autozone works too. Ask for a Bosch O2 sensor for your car. Chris "Thermo" Coleman

Schucks/Advance/Kragens is all the same store, depends on what part of the country you live in. Advanced Auto Parts is on the east coast. Also known at Checkers too. Chris "Thermo" Coleman

Thanks Thermo. I learn something all the time on this website.

Well Pepboys didn't carry an 02 sensor so I went to the local Jaguar dealer and they sold me the upstream o2 sensor for $107.00.

Question is, which of the 2 sensors upstream is the Bank 2?

thanks again in advance!

unfortunatelyI don't. my independent mechanic did it for me and he said it took about 2 hours since he had to remove alot of parts. Maybe somebody else may have one?

I took my car to the mechanic today...all they did was change the lower and upper seal from the intake manifold...but the bad part they were missing one seal so they kept one ofthe old lower seal (is this good or bad?) nways the check engine light disappeared drove it around a bit.... lucky it was covered by my warr. wereas the 02 sensor was not.
