Luke: The brake booster vacuum line used to be a ~$100 part, but now is ~$20. Consider new instead of used, given the check valve's weakness for degrading with age and heat. The part number is C2S17552

Default Vacuum retainer bushing

That's definitely the right name for it
the white bushings look like the right shape but they are only 4mm whereas mine needs to be 9mm

The other bosch bushing doesn't look like it's the right shape so im not sure if I should chance that.

Finally that new brake booster line looks very good , ive only one problem tho , my brake booster connects to 3 places , this one only connects to 2 places so I don't know if it will work but I'll show you the spare part I got in the scrap yard

By the way my car is a 07 Jaguar xtype 2litre diesel

Luke: My bad..... I should have guessed from your Ireland location that you have a diesel X-Type.

Suggestion: Click on "User CP" (Control Panel) in the top left of this screen and edit your signature to say "07 Jaguar xtype 2litre diesel" so people know what you drive and can better help you.

For your 2.0L diesel engine, the part # is C2S26896. Search the internet and you'll find those for ~$30 + S&H. Two examples:

Default UPDATE

I've been to all the cart part shops and they can't get the little red bushing that i need, I've been to plumbing shops and pneumatic shops and none of them can get the 9mm bushing.

Ive also been to the main jaguar dealer near me and the don't sell them either and it's not on the vacuum hose /check valve piece so a new one of them right now is no good when I already have a spare.

The Jaguar dealer said the only way i can get that piece is if I replace the whole vacuum pump and that's a big 193 euro for the sake of a little bushing that should cost less that 2 euro.

So at the end of the day i have ordered some guerilla glue and I'm going to connect my quarter broken bushing to the manifold and insert the hose with lots and lots and lots of glue and absolutely destroy the place possibly with the whole bottle just to make sure it all sticks and hope to god that it works.
I'll try keep it a bit tidy looking but the more glue the better I think.

Anyway this glue is meant to be very good in strength and against heat, cold and even waterproof so it should work fine especially if the vacuum force is pulling towards the inlet manifold.

Moral of the story is you push in before you pull out
