Default "Clunky" suspension

My 2003 X seems to be a bit "clunky" over bumps in the road. The noise and jolt seems excessive for a car that rides like glass on smooth pavement.

The car only has 35,000 miles on it. I can't imagine I've worn out the any suspension components. Unless, there are bushings that dry-rot over time?

Or, maybe all X's handle bumps with a "clunk"? Is it normal?

Thanks.

I have the exact same problem with my '05 and have been looking for a solution for a while. Let me know what you've tried/intend to try and we can compare notes.

It seems to me like it might be tie rod ends, I posted about this a while back and Thermo suggested I have those checked out. But so far, I have had a lot of front suspension components replaced without any luck solving this; both lower control arms, strut mounts and bushings, left-front wheel bearing, and right-front cv joint.

I don't know about yours, but some days mine feels more pronounced than others. And when it does happen I can "feel" it through the steering wheel.

It could be the sway bar end links or sway bar bushings as well.
