Default Clutch change time.

Hi all , my clutch is slipping so I have bought a Valero solid flywheel conversion kit. Is it easier to remove the engine and box or remove the subframe then gearbox ? 2008 2.2d sport..

Hi wherever you are! I have heard that the solid flywheel can give you crankshaft trouble with a diesel.

I heard changing from dmf to single is more a problem of slightly more vibration and louder sound harmonics on some cars. Single will also allow you to machine it if replacing the clutch in the future, but I think that's a very minimal advantage given a normal clutch is good for around 150,000 miles or so. The larger concern is the transfer of torque to the driveshaft and crankshaft as Dunks mentioned. It is particularly a problem with newer (when implemented) smaller engines that produced much more horsepower and torque than their predecessors.

Good explanation =

Here's a brief explanation of the differences =
