Im considering installing one but keep hearing mixed opinions.If anybody has one installed,especially on a X-Type I would appreciate some honest feedback.Thanx

 

The xtype already has a cold air intake above the radiator in front of the grill. And that air box is not really a restriction. I would save your $$$ and this is coming from someone that runs an aftermarket cai and k&n filters on everything he owns, but with reason, everything i own did have a restrictive or non cold air intake

 

I seriously doubt that air box is not a restriction. The two intake holes are TINY. Plus the way it hugs the radiator I'm sure there has to be some heat soak associated with it. Personally I say give it a try, do some measured testing and let us know what you think.

 

1 of those air ducts(and there are 2) are the size of the throttle body and your not gonna flow more air into the engine any larger than the throttle body allows
