Default Cruise not available - found the issue

So my vacuum line going from the intake to the brake booster is leaking at the intake connection. I am currently shopping for a replacement online but my question is how to remove it without breaking something else? Is there a special tool I need or something?

Thanks!

The fitting at the manifold has a plastic ring around the tube. Press and hold that against the manifold and gently pull the tube out.Pressing the ring against the manifold releases the connection.

The plastic ring fits inside the brass ring. Look closely, many folks get confused and frustrated trying to push down the brass part. And be careful not to break the plastic that will fall into the engine.

And there is a oring in there that leaks vacuum. You can get a replacement insert from jaguar, no need to replace the brass piece only the black plastic lock ring and oring. The leak on that pipe is usually at the check valve. You can fix this by puttng a 1" piece of heat shrink over the valve and shrinking it, OR just replace the whole pipe

Thanks for the input everybody! Unfortunately my leak is not at the check valve like I assumed, it is actually where it connects to the upper intake manifold.

I got my replacement hose from Amazon but it appears as if I need more parts still. For one the new hose does not stay in the UIM very well. After I drug the end over and plugged it in it still has a vacuum leak. What is this part called??

Also if you notice there is no 'brass piece' that some people told me to push on. Is that my problem? Am I simply missing a piece? Is this what I need?

Jaguar Connector Kit, Vacuum Hose To Booster, X-Type, S-Type - JA-C2S-15816

Also what is this other hose that also plugs into the UIM and goes to a connector that is attached to the firewall? I have a leak there as well. I am having a hard time finding a good source that lists all of these parts and their part numbers.

And why the f can I not change my font sizes??

I think I found it - it's the purge valve line and evidently it's expensive. Just my luck.

I just threw some form-a-gasket around them for now while I stockpile parts to make permanent repairs, LOL. Going to let it set for 24 hours before I take it out.

Thank you! Appreciate it. I've found some online as well just not sure if I want to order them now or not. My gasket sealant trick didn't work either so now I'm looking to change all the o-rings and UIM gasket as well. It's too darn cold out to do it now so I most likely may have to wait until Spring...
