Default And the diagnosis is: Squirrels!!! :O

The service manager just called me and said one problem I have is that the wiring to my MAP sensor is shredded. It's.... get ready for it.... squirrels. He thought "mouse" but I have tons and tons of squirrels. Old neighborhhod. Lots of old trees. In fact, a young one was sitting above the car watching David work on it the other night. I don't really want to put my cat, Pickle back outside but I may have to for a bit. Unbelieveable.

Jo, you may want to give rat traps and some peanut butter a try. It worked good for my dad. The squirrels love peanut butter and as long as you get the big rat traps, it will be enough to end your pesky problem.

Rat traps?! I don't think I could do that. My parents had squirrels when I was a kid. The house backed up to woods. They would climb in my Mom's apron pockets looking for nuts when she put clothes out on the clothesline. I actually played with them, they were so tame. I'll just park in the garage. They won't go in there.

geez thermo, you're gonna scare off the newbie bacliff. Explain the 'no-kill' PB method so you don't end up with one less fan.

Is there enough meat on them to make squirrel jerky?

Elle, the squirrels in VA are small little buggers. It would be a lot of work to get a little bit of meat from them. Granted, a teriyaki jerky recipe I bet would be pretty good on them little critters. LMAO.

Teriyaki squirrels and a driveable car? I'm game.
They'd probably be good with some rice and duck sauce, too.
