Can you look up the procedure to change the rear output seal on the TC. I need to know how much to tighten the nut on the flange.
The procedure is to tighten the nut until the bearing beging to drag, and then measure the resistanvc eto turn the flange. I need that torque.....

Awesome.. that is exactly what I needed. My latest Tranfer case issue was to replace the two tapered roller bearings for that output shaft. The instructions are for when you change the oil seal, and Jag does not want us to change bearings.. but That number is important to set it up right.

The new GTR just ignores the torque reading, and tells you to mark the nut and make sure it goes back in the same position. That does not help when I have the thing in pieces.

 

yep.. not an issue.. they charged me about a hundred total.. seemed high. I went to a big bearing distributor, and picked them up over the counter. ( in Toronto - place called Toronto Bearings ) Ill try to post the info later
