Hi all, new to the forum, hope you can help!
I'm trying to repair my father's 53 x-type door handle.. I have had the trim off and seen that it is not the clips near the lock (I understand that this is a common issue) the rod goes up but is no longer attached to anything.
I am unable to attach pics as a new member.
My need for help is the best way to get to the handle as it's quite restrictive for space. Does the window need to come out? A quick step by step would help a lot if anyone can spare some time please.

You should be able to remove the latch assembly with the window fully up. Be sure to disconnect the battery. The window coming down with an arm in there isn't very pretty.
