I have a 2001 x-type 3.0 l manual, it has the fixed door mirrors and I would like to fit the new ones that have the indicators built in and they can also fold in with an electric motor when the car is parked.

Will these fit and how difficult is the wiring?

Are the new ones from/for an x type or are they aftermarket

 

The ones I found were from a 2008 x-type, 7 wire and the guy also had the window switch unit which has the power fold button as well as the door mirror adjustment

 

Make sure that the whole housing fit on your vehicle, after that check and see if the button assembly fit where your old one is for that factory look. It shouldn't be a hard DIY project I did a few before with aftermarket euro style mirrors for an x type hope I helped ou a lil bit good luck with the instalment
