ECU replacement
Hi guys new to here,
I got a 2008 2.0d xtype, I've been having some lipm mode issues and need to replace the ECU. I have managed to find a 2008 for parts and bought the ecu, ignition, receiver, clocks and keys. Ive also got both the fuse boxes.
and im wondering do i need anything else to be able to run the second hand ecu without running in to immobilizer issues?
if there is a post on this here again could you point me i. The right direction as I wasn’t able to find it.

Well progress of elimination i guess, I first got limp mode and replaced the turbo actuator and ir worked fine for a couple off weeks the limp mode came back again, so I punt in a brand new turbo and actuator (error code still shows turbo/ actuator) couldn’t shake the thought so called a buddy who has the same car and swapped turbos around surprise still the same issue, later car started showing low fuel pressure so replaced the injector and fuel pressure sensor on rail and pump, high mileage engine 300k so opted to swap the engine from a fully running car. And all issues still stand. So my next step is to swap out the electronics and wirering loom from that other car. Just want to be sure I got all the buta I need.
ladab6, really, all you need is the ECU and the instrument cluster from a donar car. With a little help from a locksmith, you can teach the new ECU what the key codes are. That will be money well spent on saving you from a lot of work.
