Well....my lights flicker on and off.....my battery light my abs my brake light......but the battery is brand new i just did a big 3 upgrade on the wires alternator is not new but used from a salvaged yard......it came from the same car.....could it be a faulty wire to the cluster or bad fuse block?? Here the lights are off.......but then they come on like almost choreographed
4mugen20, if you are talking about the instrument cluster lights, do the rest of the dash lights flicker too at the same time? If yes, then your problem is the dimmer switch inside the headlight switch. You (or someone else) probably kneed the dial at some point and damaged it. If it is only the instrument cluster lights that are flashing, then odds are, you have a bad solder connection on the plug for the cluster. Unfortunately, this will require removing the instrument cluster to verify. Now, with this being said, I would look at the ground connection before ripping out the cluster. You will need to get your head down and into the footwell area. Then looking up, you will see a main structural bar that runs side to side. You should see some wires bolted to this bar. These are all ground wires for various things in the dash. I would run my hand over all these points and see if any are loose. You may get lucky and one is loose that is causing an intermittent connection, therefore your lights to flicker on and off.
