Hi guys , just wanted to keep you posted. Per my prior post https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=36132 i've had a rattling noise from under the hood that i could not locate. I ended up taking it to a shop today and despite me thinking it was a bad pulley bearing it is actually the AC compressor (or so they say) they wanted to charge $1100 which is ridiculous. I'm going to install it myself and i wanted to ask what the review is on aftermarket units or if i should get a refurb or a used unit from EBAY? thanks in advance.

 

Try Ebay, lots on there. I think I have one too laying around somewhere in my shop.

 

Ok cool, yes i see lots on there for very reasonable pricing but there are aftermarket, refub or salvage ones. which would u recommend?

 

I would try for one off a salvage/accident vehicle. Refurb might be OK if you vett the supplier well.
