Engine Fault / DSC System Fault - Car Shuts Down
Guys
My Xtype left me stranded and I had to get it towed. It put up Engine Fault and then DSC System Fault, and went into a limp mode that disabled the accelerator (undrivable).
My generic code reader pulled the following list:
P0122
P0222
P1215
P1000
P1236
P1240
P1241
P1611
P1122
The jag folks tell me it needs a Ethanol dryer in the gas system (additive and a flush), and the Throttle Body needs to be replaced (1600 bucks). The car had done this to me before but I shut if off and restart and it drove ok for a while. This time, the shut off and restart didn't make it stop and I had it towed. Each time this happened it has been wet / raining.
Does any of this make sense to anyone and will just replacing the throttle body fix it for good?
I have read through the forums and saw everything from (bad gas, add fuel injector cleaner, mass air flow sensor, put tape around the harness, disconnect neg battery cable, bad TP sensor, broken spring in TB, gummed up TB intake, etc). I just want to be sure that all this cash for the service actually fixes the problem and when I go get the car I ask the right questions about what they did.
Many thanks in advance

make sure that your battery is in top condition and is connected right, my old Volvo did the same, and turned out the be a poor battery - when the car dosnt get enough power it starts to close Down and gives a lot of warninglights and p-codes - just a guess
I have a new battery (albeit autozone aftermarket) in there - about 4 months old. I did get Jag to replace that also while they had it with a Jag battery. The jag folks commented that they didn't like the battery so I said what the heck.
thanks for all the comments!
thanks for all the comments!
Update: after a battery replacement and a new TB the car ran really well and got me home. Jag said it was a Throttle Position sensor but you cant buy that separately. So ill never know for sure what it really was since both were replaced.
Hopefully the "leave me stranded" feature of this car wont happen again.
