Default Engine system fault message

2004 X-Type 3.0 engine does not start, all dash lights come on, battery is good, I turn the key and nothing. The message on the dash is ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT and TRANSMISSION FAULT. Any ideas.

I do not have a way of measuring that, the battery is only a few months old. this happened to me when I stopped at a gas station, after I wiggled all the electrical connectors I could find and rocked the car back and forth it started up and ran fine with no messages on the dash. This repeated 2 times and now it wont start. The gear shifter will not move out of park.

Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage; it should be a minimum of 12.6 volts. Below 11.4, the starter may not run.

With the ignition on, what gear position lights up on the centre console?
