Default Exaust & Performance upgrades X-Type 2.5L v6

Hi all

I am looking at upgrading my exhaust I have not looked under the car yet as to see what it has currently. I would like to see sum performance gains from this and also it sound a little better. what have people done or recommend.

Also what sort of modifications have people done to the engine to increase performance, from injectors, inlet, spark plugs, fuel pump anything.

Thanks

Glen

If you do a search you will find many threads on this. A lot of them actually. Prepare to be disappointed if you think you can gain a lot of hp with bolt on parts.

Prepare to be disappointed if you do gain a lot of hp as the transfer case unlikely to play ball for too long

Best advice I can give you is to do a search on here as these two topics have been discussed numerous times on here. Basically, your "performance" options are extremely limited unless you are very talented, very ambitious, have a lot of time and a lot of money.

There are a couple guys on here right now in the process of upgrading the performance of their cars. One of the members (X-TypeMentality) just had some custom headers fabricated. They looks great along with the other work he has done. You might want to look him up.

In case you didn't find this thread yet, it has a lot of opinions and advice from a lot of the more active members on the forums. It details my journey to the first x type with headers. At least that I know of... I'm very VERY close just need a few hundred more dollars saved! Anyone wanna chip in? Haha ok, I'm kidding!

I hate to say it but the best bang for your buck for a performance upgrade would be to switch out the 2.5 to the 3.0.
its a bolt on conversion lots of people on here have already made the switch.

Its also technically not a "swap" since you are just replacing a factory x type engine with another factory x type engine. And like Alfa said, why even report it to those crooks?
