Default EBC Brakes

Hi JagXType620, Background - I don't want to slate these guys too much and perhaps the problem was with my installation, however, I found that the brake pads were too big and got stuck - perhaps there was too much red paint on my pads. I went for a couple of kays and the pads were scraping on the discs. I could have tried to shave the pads down (around the outside and on the flat side) so that they fitted better, but opted to cut my losses and get new pads direct from jag - I figured if they can't get the size/shape/thickness right then I should just play it safe.

Anyway, EBC weren't very interested in resolving my problem. I've still got a set of red pads in my shed! I used their discs - and they seem OK - I've had them in for about a year and they haven't warped or anything. As I said, perhaps it was the way I fitted the pads... Al

I've used EBC greenstuff and they works prefect. I'm quite sure the greenstuff and redstuff shouldn't be different in size.

I use red stuff on the Jag and green(soon to change to yellow for SUV's) on the Nissan truck. and have installed many sets on customers, never an issue. And depends on your Jaguar, yr and model. Jaguar did at one point use stainless shims on the caliper pad slides. This caused issues and jaguar changed to a larger pad and you discard the shims. Smaller pads dont fir without shims(they rattle like crazy) and the larger ones will bind and not fit if used with shims....just a FYI
