Default Fast Brite Lens Restore

Has anyone heard of/have experience with the subject product? It's supposed to be a very easy way to clean the oxidation off of headlight lenses. The web address is https://www.tryfastbrite.com/flare/next?rtag=buyfastbrite&.

Did you end up using Fast Brite? I'm curious. My wife brought some home last night and I haven't done anything with it, yet.

mjlaris, I haven't used that product, but I have used 3M Perfect-It II/III. The stuff works great. Not that much work needed to make the lens crystal clear again. Put on a layer of car wax and all is done. No need to sand and all that. This stuff will leave the lens very smooth.

I did use the Fast Brite product this morning. In short, don't waste your money. The lens is a bit smoother, but it certainly doesn't remove oxidation.

I recently purchased another headlight cleaner that was much better than the few I tested in the past. The one I was most satisfied with is Mothers with the power ball polisher and it was available at AutoZone. I had not tested the 3M product but right now this works for me..

I will see if I can take some before/after pictures of a neighbor's car that I have used the 3M product on their headlights. I am rather impressed with the outcome of using this product. Doesn't take a lot of work and you don't have to use a power ball or other electric device to get it to work either.

i used the el-cheapo $8 turtle wax kit and my crusty old looking lenses came out looking brand new in 20 minutes....and the lenses were in very rough shape....as with any product...FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER!

I took the PREVENTIVE option: Plexus. It seals and polishes the lens. Five years into my new Sportwagon, all the lenses are still as clear as when I first brought the car home. I apply this protectant after every car wash. I also use it to clean my tinted interior windows - with a microfiber cloth it cleans well and leaves no scratches like a paper towel does. Could only find it at autogeek.com (am I allowed to say that?). No, I am not getting a commission for this recommendation.
