Default A few questions

Hi guys,
My jag, 2005 xtype 2.0d sport.
How do I find out how many miles are left in my tank and what mpg I'm getting? When I press the trip button in on my signal lever the only thing that happens is it zeros the milage out. I have the sat nav and wandered if it was on there somewhere. There is also a little screen below the sat nav that tells me the outside temp and the temp I've set my climate too inside the car.
Does my car not have any little gadgets like this :-(

I'm under the impression that there are two sorts of this, the basic one and the "message center". They are found in the lower part of the speedometer. Mine has the latter, and shows range, mpg, trip computer and total mileage. With mine, it cycles through the different modes of display with the trip button at the end of the stalk, but unfortunately I'm not familiar with the other type so can't advise you there. But indeed, the only place where the car would show such info is that display in the speedometer...unless that info is perhaps maybe possibly visible in the satnav diagnostics menu. You can check it by pressing and holding [Phone] & [Menu] buttons for about five seconds, then entering PIN code "1971". DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES IN THAT MENU. You can exit by pressing [Menu].

If I remember correctly, the basic one has a fairly narrow and tall display as compared to the message center -display which is very wide and not that tall. Mine looks like this, so unless your speedo-display looks different then it's probably the basic one.
