Default Front Passenger Side Front Spring Noise

I have to remove the Strut assembly on the front passenger side and replace the spring assembly . This will be my first time doing any suspension work on the Car. I looked for a step by step guide on how to do this job but I haven’t found any specific with what equipment I will need to go out and buy and How to do the job efficiently if anyone can give a hand it’d be much appreciated

Go to page 113 that starts the procedure for removal of the front shock and also shows the various special tools.

When I get to the part to separate the strut from the knuckle what’s the best approach to do this. How do I get the control arm lowered with only one person. I’d like to avoid involving unnecessary parts and dropping the subframe?

you can place a bottle jack atop the steering lnuckle.
it does not balance well as it is not a 100% horizontal surface, i placed a wedge under the jack to fix that.
did u look at the entire post i linked?

Yea I’m just nervous this is like my first serious job I’ve ever done and this is my first car and first time really using like certain tools and stuff and I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this. Anyways Should I buy a used part on eBay or is it better to buy new shock absorber and new springs as my old springs failed. Any brands recommended.
