Default Gear Box Fault

X type SE AWD Auto Estate:
Car will not go into any gear, fluid leak under car last 24 hours. 92,000 miles no previous problems with car. Should I scrap ?

I’d see if its possible to seal, refill and keep going first. If it’s only a leak then surely that’s not a huge job which would mean scrapping?

Those transmissions were used on a wide variety of cars and replacements are widely available. So the only question is whether the cost of replacement is more than the value of the car.
First step is to get a transmission specialist to advise you on the leak. Jatco is the transmission company, they were used in Audis, VWs, Nissan, don't let the Jaguar name scare off the mechanic.
And report back here on your findings.
