Headlamps

I don't believe I'm asking this one, but do I have to remove the bumper to change the headlamps on my '03 X-type. I can't pull out the element from the rear. Some help please, I really don't want to take it to the dealer for something as simple as headlamp replacement.
nope, it is just a royal pain to do. most people who change the bulbs end up with bloodied knuckles. there really is no easy way to do it, other than having someone else do it for you. a lot of auto part stores offer free installation with the purchase of small items like bulbs, wiper blades and batteries. i would suggest you go there if you do not want to attempt it on your own.

It's not that hard to change the bulbs, I can do it blindfolded now!

I saved the knuckles on my hands by payin local auto spark to do the job for me.
16 bulbs between the X and the Saab cost me £20, best £20 I spent on her probly .lol

I did spend some good money on them. They are THE best bulb you can buy in any of the autoparts stores here in Michigan and they are garbage. I recently bought these ones a little over a week ago and they were only 20 bucks and they are 100watters so they look so much different than the others. I'll try to get a pic to show the difference from the regular sylvania and the new one I bought. Stand by for pics...

C'mon Aquill, where's the pics man?
I think I saw your car pics posted on an earlier thread anyways, they look pretty good I gotta say, a bit like mine!
