Ive followed book, the auto function doesnt happen, prob cos my mo is very old/cheap, (a £20 fliphone). Ive found instructions online stating turn ign to ON, press for phone, dial in ##2#*# press call - all I get is message that "this service provider cant connect with this number".

any idiot guide help for downloading much appreciated - pairing is fine. I can make.receive calls, just cant download phonebook. Rob

 

This could be the same as the info you have found but here goes anyway.

Make sure the vehicle ignition is on and the phone and vehicle are paired.

Press the button on the touch screen or audio panel that looks like an old style telephone.

enter ##2#*# then press the button on the touch screen or audio panel that looks like the phone handset.

Now switch off the ignition for 6 minutes to allow the vehicle bluetooth system to complete the download process.

The Jaguar phone manual also states that some phones with the numbers stored on the sim card will not let the numbers be copied to the car and recommends that the numbers be transfered from the sim to the phone memory before trying to down load them to the car system.

thanks, yeah I had that from manual, almost, doesn't mention the 6min wait. but it don't work ;o( . I don't get how turning off ign allow download to occur, as all power/connection between mo and car will be lost?, ive tried it in both full off, keys out, off w keys in, and position I - none work Grrrr any more ideas greatly appreciated
