Default I am back for more! Window regulator – where to find?

My front passenger window regulator went CAPUT! So, about a month ago I found after market version for about $100, but didn’t purchase, since I was leaving for vacation.

Now, I can’t find anything for less than $350 OEM.

My cat is 2002 X-Type 2.5L

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The motor is fine, plastic holders broke, which caused cables to chew up plastic roller on the motor and cables themself got bent

The window regulator for a 2002 Lincoln LS resembles that of the X-Type. They're all over EBAY and the internet for about $60. If you're handy, you may be able to cannibalize one for the parts needed to fix yours, or perhaps modify the LS regulator to work in the X.

Used parts is another approach. I've seen one for $100, which seems high, but other sources may be cheaper.

If you live close to a Pullapart yard look there for a Lincoln or Contour one, maybe the same also? they let you carry in your old part to match and prices are dirt cheep. I've saved a ton on SAAB parts with them.
