I think I need a new waterpump.
When I had my fuel pump replaced several months ago, the guys who did it said that I would probably need a new waterpump soon, but not immediately as it seemed to be leaking a bit. It drove fine but I am noticing that it is starting to visibly leak now and need to be refilled, Obviously it is time to rectify this.
A quick book estimate from a Goodyear told me it would be about $350.
Is that right? I thought a water pump was an easy fix. Is this the sort of thing I could do myself? (I'm not an idiot, but I'm not super skilled and have basic tools.) Also, is there any particular pump I should/can use?

It can't be that easy can it? I never have such luck.
My last two "easy" fixes ended with me replacing my IT O-rings, only to find I need a new fuel pump, then my flat tire ended with a Goodyear sawing my studs off.

Well I just did it. i drove it around the block several times and I think everything is okay. The real test will be my trip to work tomorrw. Hopefully I did everything right. Thanks Brutal. You may have saved me $300. (we'll see tomorrow if I jacked it all up and it will now cost more, lol.)
